What is The Voice of Nepal?

“The Voice of Nepal” is Nepal’s leading reality TV show, adapted from the global singing competition “The Voice.” The program features four coaches who form teams during the Blind Audition phase. In the Battle Round, contestants within each team compete, with only half progressing to the Knockout Round. During this phase, coaches select the strongest contestants to advance to the Live Voting Round.

In the Live Round, viewers vote for their favorite contestant, and the one with the highest number of votes moves on to the Grand Finale. The winners of the first three seasons were CD Vijaya Adhikari, Ram Limbu, and Kiran Gajmer, respectively. The Grand Finales were held in different locations for each season. The show is broadcast on Himalaya Television.

The host of the show since 2018 is Sushil Nepal, and Oshin Sitoula co-hosted in the same year. The coaching panel includes Deep Shrestha, Sanup Poudel, Abhaya Subba, Pramod Kharel, Raju Lama, Astha Raut, Trishna Gurung, Prabisha Adhikari, and Rajesh Payal Rai (also known as Mula) across various seasons. The series is directed by Laxman Paudyal, who previously directed the first season of Nepal’s inaugural international franchise singing competition, “Nepal Idol.”
