The story follows Jesper, who is content living his life according to his preferences and against his father’s wishes, the Postmaster General. Jesper is forced to write 65,000 letters during the year after he moves to the island of Smeerensburg or forfeits his inheritance. Luckily for him, a quiet toymaker known as Klaus lives right across the street. It is the first Netflix original that was nominated for Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

Emily Blunt takes over the famous role of Mary Popping, played by Julie Andrews. She played a magical nanny who is brought back to the world of Michael Banks, now a grown-up and father of three children. It also features new music by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who plays Jack the prankster; this is bound to be a classic that children and families will enjoy for a long time to come.
Home is an exhilarating, intergalactic adventure appropriate for the entire family. The film cast stellar voice actors featuring Jim Parsons, Rihanna, and Steve Martin. The film begins when aliens called Boov to invade Earth and decide to move the human population. The only person who can get away is a tiny girl named Tip. When she meets with a fleeing Boov identified as Oh, they make up an odd couple who share the same goals. Together, they establish friendships and attempt to find Tip’s mother to save the human race.

It is the ultimate small-town movie with a heart of gold. The story is about Ellie Chu, an unpopular girl from Squamish, New York. Chu is well-known for earning small-time income by writing assignments for her fellow students. One day, she’s approached by a well-known jock Paul Munsky, who asks Chu to write a love note to Aster Flores, a student at the school. What Munksy does not know is Chu is in love with Flores too.
Martin Scorsese might not be the first name that pops to the forefront when thinking of family-friendly films, but he combined the latest technological advancements into this genre. Hugo is the first 3D film adapted from Brian Selznick’s “The Making of Hugo Cabret.” The story revolves around a young, orphaned boy in Paris in the 1930s. It was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
This animated film will be a hit with every member of the family. The film starts when a four-year-old Kun discovers his life is disturbed when his new baby sister starts receiving all the attention. It gets wild and bizarre rapidly since a teenage version of his sister Mirai is born, and within a few weeks, Kun, along with the older Mirai, takes on adventures together and meets an array of bizarre people from the past and the future. You get a warm, loving, and unique experience from this film which is not prevalent in many kids’ movies of today.
- The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind
A gripping and inspiring film set in a tiny farming village in Malawi is guaranteed to capture your hearts on this family movie night, thanks to lead actor and director Chiwetel Ejiofor. The story focus on the lead, Maxwell Simba, who plays the 13-year-old boy William. The story of William may appear like a middle-school project; however, the fact that his education is cut off before he can come up with a windmill power generator that could solve the town’s problems. This film is full of messages that you want your kids to pick up.
